Some Africans have always wondered why they were sent here. We will not be answering that question today, or even ever.

In this article, we will be talking about African countries and capitals, their currencies, their presidents and GDP. We will also talk about what makes Africa, Africa.

Introduction (The Facts about Africa)

Africa is the second largest continent in the world by land mass, covering about 30.3 million km2 (11.7 million square miles) [Just know its really big]. Africa alone makes up about 20% of the earths land mass and 6% of its total population.

It’s also the 2nd most populous continent on earth, only second to Asia (And that’s because China is in Asia). Africa has a population of 1.216 billion people in 2020, with Nigeria making up about 200 million of those people and coming in as the most populous black nation.

Fact: Did you know that Lagos is the biggest city in Africa?

Fact: Africa has the youngest average population in the world.

Fact: 16% of the human population come from Africa.

Fact: Despite the abundance of resources in Africa, Africa is still the poorest continent on earth in terms of per capital income. (Most of which is blamed on colonization by the Europeanss)

Why is Africa poor

Now that’s an interesting question. The worlds richest continent in terms of natural resources turns out to have the lowest per capital income?

The answer is not so easy, but it can easily be attributed to poor leadership across the continent. Africa’s history also paints a gruesome picture, riddled with slave trade and colonization.

Will Africa be great again?

This is a strong yes. Africa has one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Lagos for example is rated amongst one of the largest and fasted growing cities in the world.

Africa will be great again, its just going to take time.

Lets now get into the business of the day, the list of African countries and capitals, presidents and GDP
