You cannot travel out of a country without a passport. Given the fact that most Nigerian youths are looking for a way to leave this country, it is not surprising to see the number of people waiting at the Nigerian Immigration office.

Let me give you a little story; when I was serving at Abeokuta, Ogun State, I wanted to go and do my passport because I wanted to leave the country immediately after service for my master. So, when I got there, I didn’t believe my eyes. The place looked like Onitsha main market. They were over 500 people who came to do the exact same thing I came to do.

So, as a big boy who was coming from the small state of Anambra, I decided I wasn’t going to wait o that line. I believed that the immigration office in Anambra will not have a lot of people waiting to do their passport or collect their passport.

Anyways, I was shocked at the number of people I met at the Awka immigration office. People were scattered everywhere. Both inside and outside, and by the road. Some were drinking malt, others eating biscuit. In fact, there was a place you could eat food near there because that the woman selling the food new that people would keep coming.

Anyways, here are the addresses of passport offices in Nigeria and their Locations.

  1. I discovered that some states charges lesser than others. Example; Lagos and Abuja charges 25k on standard passport while Nasarawa state charge 17k on the same passport. It made me feel skeptical about going further to make the payment.

  3. Is good information for the address but always update it from time to time. Renewal should be made almost free quick cos the information is already in the system. However,is a good experience to have passport.let there be awareness on the need to have it. Let it be one of the condition for passing out from any higher education thank
