RMD Biography and Early Life
Richard Mofe-Damijo popularly called RMD by his lovers is a veteran Nigerian actor, scriptwriter, producer, socialite, politician, and lawyer.
He was born on July 6, 1961, and his origin could be traced back to Aldja community, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State.
The veteran actor went to Midwest College, Warri, and Anglican Grammar School for his secondary school education.
As a lover of education, he proceeded to the University of Benin (Uniben) where he had a bachelor degree in Theatre Arts in 1983.
It’s the dream of Richard’s mum to see his son become a lawyer, RMD then went to the University of Lagos to studied Law, where he graduated in 2004, and called to the largest bar in Africa in 2005.

Fast forward to 2008, Richard More Bamijo was appointed as the special adviser to the minister of Culture and Tourism of Delta State.
In 2009, he himself became the commissioner of culture and tourism in Delta State.

RMD acting career could be traced back to his High school days where he belonged to the drama club.
Later in his career, Mofe-Damijo ventured into journalism and reported for Concord Newspapers, Metro Magazine, and The Guardian.

But his mother dream was what led him to the University of Lagos for LLB degree. But unfortunately, his mother passed away even before he graduated. Sadly!
The former Delta State Minister on Culture and Tourism married his first lover, Mary Ellen Ezekiel who was a publisher and journalist.
